‘What is Autism?’
This is a free course for parents and carers with a child under 8 years old who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder since January 2019. It is designed to provide information to help you and your child understand and live with Autism.
When: Wednesday 13 November 9:30am – 12noon
Where: Mackworth Children Centre, Reigate Drive, Derby, DE22 4EQ.

12 new instructional short films
The Family Fund has created 12 new instructional short films to help parents and carers of disabled children use their iPads safely and to their full potential. Lasting around two minutes each, the films cover topics like setting up devices, managing parental controls and online safety. There are also three dedicated films for families with disabled children addressing how to customise accessibility features to meet touch, vision and hearing needs.
