Lack of BSL during coronavirus briefings

Deaf campaigners have started legal proceedings against the government over a lack of sign language interpreters at its daily coronavirus briefings. British Sign Language (BSL) users say they have been discriminated against because critical information was not conveyed to them.

Latest shielding guidance

The majority of children in England currently considered extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 will be removed from the shielded patient list, the government confirmed in the latest shielding guidance. This will only be done in consultation with their GP or specialist.
