Christmas number one!

Electric Umbrella is a charity that supports people with learning difficulties, through the power of music. This year, they’ve been in the running for Christmas number one with their single about Christmas in lockdown.

The National Children’s Bureau has been campaigning in response to the Chancellor’s latest spending review. Children, young people and families have been getting involved to tell the Chancellor what they think money should be spent on. Last week, they held an online meeting to discuss the issues raised by their campaign called #GiveUsAChancellor.

National Trust treasure

James Drury, from Dronfield, has learned to communicate with people using photographs, despite doctors saying he would not be able to develop those skills. As a National Trust volunteer with profound learning disabilities and autism, James has become a key member of a team that maintains a Peak District estate.
