The rollout of new charging points for electric vehicles is stripping vital pavement space away from pedestrians and wheelchair users, two campaigning organisations have warned the government. They also warn that almost none of the electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) being installed are accessible to disabled drivers.

More than six million people with disabilities will receive their next cost-of-living payment between 20 June and 4 July, the government has said. The payment is designed to be a top-up to benefits to help ease the strain from higher bills and prices.

British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful has said he is “delighted” by the response to his magazine’s first braille editions for blind and partially sighted people. The May issue of the fashion publication, which first launched in 1916, has been made available in a physical braille edition as well as a recorded audio description.

However, for parents of children with SEND, us included, Carrie is also admired for her advocacy work as the mother of young autistic people. She also, like me, has a late autism diagnosis.”
