In a huge win for disabled children and the free school meal disability inclusion campaign, the government has published its updated guidance on free school meals in England. The update will benefit over 100,000 disabled children currently missing out on free school meals, whose families have faced a loss of £600 a year in financial support for their family.

Just over a decade ago, autism and ADHD were thought to be mutually exclusive. But in recent years, all that has changed.

Maddi Neale-Shankster, from Coventry, made the decision after struggling to access beauty treatments. She said she hoped the salon would be a sanctuary for wheelchair users and the able-bodied alike. A place where people did not feel judged, she said.

Derby’s very own, Baasit and Raza Siddiqui, Channel 4 Gogglebox stars, ran the London Marathon. The pair completed the running challenge in aid of Me&Dee, a Derby charity supporting families through very challenging times, raising over £1,400!
