Now Reuben’s family is fighting to help him recover before the Rams take to the pitch in the Championship once again. A stroke hit the left side of Reuben’s brain on 1 May, affecting movement in his right arm and leg and taking away his speech.

The myth of needing a diagnosis before you can get support
A recent BBC News article revealed delays in assessments for autism and ADHD diagnosis are leading to a lack of support for pupils in school. However, I.P.S.E.A.’s latest blog clarifies: there is no requirement to have a diagnosis in order to have SEN or a disability in law, and this should not be a barrier to getting support.
