People with autism and learning disabilities can now go out for exercise three times a day

Families of children with autism and learning disabilities have forced the UK government into a u-turn over its limit on outdoor exercise. People with autism and learning disabilities can now go out for exercise three times a day and travel beyond their local area. The government changed its guidance on outdoor exercise after two families threatened court action over the one-trip-out-a-day limit.

Fry Law resources

Equality and human rights champion Fry Law has a raft of template letters which people may wish to use during the Coronavirus crisis, including complaint letters to supermarkets, designed to provide priority access for disabled people.

Mental health support line

Mental health support is now available to Derbyshire residents of all ages through a new mental health support line. Call 111 and select option 2 (‘mental health’) – available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
