Guide Dogs UK says phrase ‘blind leading the blind’ is offensive and should not be used

The phrase “the blind leading the blind” should no longer be used because it is offensive and undermines visually-impaired people, a leading charity has said. Guide Dogs UK is calling for a re-think of the expression which it says is associated with “confusion, incompetence or ignorance”.
