Rupert was isolated from society, being a young boy he wanted to join his brother in the local playground, but there was a problem – he was physically unable to use the area. Being born with a severe mental disability, which is undiagnosed, and relying on a wheelchair meant it was almost impossible to enjoy the features at Hay Fields estate playground in Rainworth, Nottinghamshire.
